Eastlands Open Day
Our Open Day celebrations started with a BBQ on Saturday night to welcome the members from other branches. Each of our visitors were presented with a Taonga Bone carving, a information booklet on the area & a Certificate of Attendance. On Sunday morning we all meet at the Gisborne Show Grounds and cruised to Gisbonre Motors for the Show & Shine. After the show & Shine we cruised to the Tolaga Bay wharf, the longest wharf in NZ. After walking the 660 metre wharf we headed off to the township to display our cars and to have a BBQ lunch. Radio Uawa interviewed many members live on air about our Club and our Cars. After lunch we cruised back to Gisborne and took photos at Kaiti Hill with views in the back ground of Nicks Head and the ocean. We would like to thank all the members from other Branches who attended to support us on our Open Day. The weekend was a great success and it was certainly a team effort and I thank all the Eastlands members for your help. To Jim & Shelly, a very special thanks for everything that you did. Also a big thank you to the Uawa FM and people of Tolaga Bay for your support. Also a big thankyou to our sponsors, Mothers Polishes Waxes & Cleaners, Gisborne Motors, The Tyre General, The Mill and Firestone.
